NY is a hip-hop artist and is part of the group TPDIB. His song Your City speaks about how Melbourne is better than “Your City”
FINALIST #3 – Selki
Originally from Nimbin, NSW, this alternative/folk artist talks about her coming to the big city of Melbourne in her song, Hey Hey Hey and is said to be the song for everyone living in Melbourne.
FINALIST #4 – Rick Steward
100% self taught, Rick Steward’s song Follow Me is inspired by Melbourne as he talks about his time spent in the city longboarding, playing music and living free.
FINALIST #6 – Under the Arch
A 3 piece band from the eastern suburbs of Victoria, Under the Arch’s song Free is inspired by everybody in Melbourne who can be free no matter who they are
FINALIST #7 – Alex Brittan
Singer, piano player, self taught guitarist and ukelele player,
Technicolour, the latest song from Perth born Alex Brittan talks about why he is living and staying in Melbourne.
FINALIST #8 – Richard Cashion
A guitarist and vocalist from Tasmania, After Dawn is about losing yourself in the moment and enjoying life in the city of Melbourne and this was inspired after Richard’s first summer in the city.
FINALIST #10 – This Public Life
Singer/songwriter James Pollock wrote Born Again about his love for his home, Melbourne, after returning from living in the UK for 3 years.
FINALIST #11 – Boyeur
Tim Ischia and Hugh Middleton, which equal Boyeur are both professional musicians here in Melbourne. Their song Southern Sky is about the hustle and bustle of our city and the beauty within our community.
FINALIST #12 – The Lion
An instrumental piece, Urban Jungle inspired by the sounds of the city, the people, the cars and the music of Melbourne in the night.
