At just 24 years of age, Founder of Melbourne music initiative Jena Marino is a woman of many trades. A musician first and foremost Jena has performed extensively in the Melbourne music scene and is currently working as frontwoman of a Melbourne corporate/wedding band. She has performed and recorded work in Melbourne as well as overseas in America and the UK. Jena can add a Bachelor of Journalism to her name as well as a Diploma in Music Performance (Voice). During her studies, Jena volunteered at many well-known music organisations including Beat Magazine and Melbourne Music Week. Her love of music and writing has brought The Real Songwriters of Melbourne to life. Jena plans to continue networking and growing her knowledge in the music world so that she can use it to continue showcasing the emerging songwriters of Melbourne.

Jordyn is a second year Bachelor of Media and Communications (Journalism) student at La Trobe University. Hailing from Geelong, she is passionate about the Geelong Cats, live music, trampoline parks, social issues and Melbourne’s café scene. Apart from writing for The Real Songwriters of Melbourne, she is currently a staff writer for upstart- La Trobe University’s Online Journalism publication. Allanah Sciberras is a third-year student, studying a Bachelor of Media and Communications, majoring in Journalism at La Trobe University. She is the Chief Editor of her own blog, ‘Just Another Muso,’ which has allowed her to express her love for music for the past two years. She is also a presenter and podcasting editor on 3CR’s community radio program, Brainwaves. Allanah has a wide passion for all things music and is excited to join the RSOM team.
