Our highly anticipated Networking Nights are back as we welcome our Community to another night of food, fun and conversation.
Bringing Networking Nights to a new night, we invite songwriters of all ages, genres and experience levels to join The Real Songwriters of Melbourne Community on Tuesday April 20.
Enjoy a three course authentic Italian experience with thanks to our friends at Just Italy, South Melbourne as you mingle with songwriters and grow your connections.
Looking for a new producer or songwriter to collaborate with? Our RSOM Community boasts artists of many genres and experience levels who are eager to meet you.
Our Networking Nights also invite our Community to hear our Industry Panel where they will hear first hand advice from leading experts of the music industry. You will be sure to leave the evening full of knowledge and inspiration to continue to set yourself up for success in the industry.
Joining us at our April Networking Night is Head of Creative Services at Native Tongue Music Publishing: Matt Tanner.
What is music publishing? What should artists be aware of when thinking about publishing their music? What role does publishing play in an artists’ career? This is your chance to ask those burning questions.
Starting his career as a Tour Manager while living in Japan in the mid-90’s, Matt toured through Asia, North America and Europe. Returning to Australia in the late 90s, Matt founded management company, Milefire Management, which guided the careers of 28 Days, Whitley, Muph & Plutonic and Oh Mercy throughout the early 2000s before arriving at Native Tongue Music Publishing as the Creative Director and A&R Manager in 2010. Matt is now the Head of Creative Services at Native Tongue Music Publishing.
Native Tongue is an independent music publisher with offices in Australia and New Zealand. Established in 2003, Native Tongue has built a respected catalogue of local writers including Alice Ivy, Courtney Barnett and Japanese Wallpaper. Native Tongue set out to provide writers with a publishing company dedicated to assisting with the development of their skills as songwriters and composers throughout their careers.
