RSOM is excited to present their first REGIONAL VICTORIAN Networking Night in no other than the thriving town of Geelong!

If you are a songwriter looking to GROW your opportunities, meet future COLLABORATORS as well as UPSKILL your knowledge of how you can build a SUSTAINABLE songwriting career, then the RSOM is your GATEWAY to GROWTH!

Premiering at Geelong's infamous Eureka Hotel, we welcome everybody to join us at this highly anticipated event.

Joining us on the Industry Panel are Christina and Anthony Agostino, founders of artist and label service agency, Cartel Australia.

Together with RSOM Founder, Jena Marino, they will talk to songwriters about how they can ensure that they are set up and prepared for success in 2024 including expectations around release success and touring.

ACCESSIBILITY: Eureka Hotel is an accessible venue with ground floor entry and accessible toilets. Should you have any accessibility requirements, please email info@rsom.au.

Vocal Art Studios and The Real Songwriters of Melbourne are back with the second edition of their ‘Original Songwriter Showcase.’

Returning to the all- new Bergy Bandroom, this is our opportunity to welcome six of Vocal Art Studios’ songwriters as perform new original music for the first time to an audience.

Presenting our Performers: AK. Dias, Demie Bagnato, Alide, Jessica Pocev and Rayanne Rach.

Emanuele Mamo has over 20 years of experience as a singer, songwriter, music producer and recording artist. He is part of the electronic duo ACAXIA which has received worldwide exposure to over millions of people in the dance/electronic music scene and support from some of the biggest electronic artists such as Tiesto and Eric Prydz. For the past 6 years, Emanuele has been writing and producing music for a wide catalogue of artists, both upcoming and established. Having the ability to play an array of instruments, he is fluid in many genres from pop, rnb, classical, electronic/dance, rock and indie music.

The Songwriting Prize, now in its 8th Year of operation, is the competition from award-winning mental health music charity, Listen Up Music, that cultivates a supportive community for songwriters to share their stories on mental health.

The Songwriting Prize will build on Semi Final events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane last year by bringing back those events and expanding to three new events, in the Gold Coast, Wagga Wagga and to Newcastle!

Songwriters have been asked to submit original works that adhere to the competition’s theme each year, with this year’s theme being “Belonging”.

At this event, the Melbourne Semi Final, you will hear the best songs from the region being performed live accompanied by the stories that shaped them. A live panel of industry judges will share their feedback and the Top 2 will go forward to the Grand Final later in the year.

All four songwriters have been involved in this year’s Artist Mentoring program, including our signature program, The Release Academy and are so excited to be sharing their originals at none other than the Paris Cat, one of Melbourne’s most INTIMATE jazz venues.

Since its inception in 2015, the RSOM Live series have become a platform for numerous emerging songwriters around Victoria to showcase their craft and reach new audiences. The Real Songwriters of Melbourne are reaching out to our community as we help one of our very own, Brodie O’Halloran (Magdalia).

Pakenham music school, Creative Souls Studio is home to over 180 students from Cardinia Shire and its surrounding areas. Established in 2007, by Jennifer Kerr and now led by Mary O’Halloran (Brodie’s mother), this female-led music school is known for their inclusive and positive environment as well as their constant contribution to the Cardinia community.

The school recently received devastating news that they must vacate their current premises by the end of the financial year and are desperately trying to raise funds to appropriately fit out their new home. Should they not be able to raise funds for their new school, the school will unfortunately no longer be able to operate.

Losing the music school will not only impact the students, but the families, teachers and the wider Cardinia community. As the oldest music school in the shire, this forced shut-down will be truly devastating to everybody involved, especially Brodie’s family.

Therefore, we are extending our reach to the studio by joining forces in an exclusive fundraising concert to help raise funds for the new school.

We've got the stage and sound, all you need to bring is your instruments. So that we can be COVID safe, we are asking all performers to bring their own microphone (if available).
